Bearing steel, also known as high-carbon chromium steel, carbon content Wc is about 1%, chromium content Wcr is 0.5% -1.65%. Bearing steel is divided into high carbon chromium bearing steel, chromium-free bearing steel, carburizing bearing steel, stainless steel, high temperature bearing steel and antimagnetic bearing steel six categories.
Bearing steel is the steel used to make balls, rollers and bearing rings. Bearing steels have high and uniform hardness and wear resistance, as well as a high elastic limit. Bearing steel is one of the most stringent steel grades in all steel production because of its strict requirements on the uniformity of chemical composition, the content and distribution of non-metallic inclusions and the distribution of carbides.
In 1976, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) brought some general bearing steel grades into the international standard, and divided the bearing steel into four types: fully hardened bearing steel, surface hardened bearing steel, stainless bearing steel and high temperature bearing steel.
Performance requirements In order to meet the above requirements for the performance of dynamic bearings, the following basic performance requirements for bearing steel materials are put forward:
1, high contact fatigue strength;
2, high hardness after heat treatment or hardness that can meet the requirements of bearing performance;
3, high wear resistance, low friction coefficient;
4, high elastic limit;
5. Good impact toughness and fracture toughness;
6. Good dimensional stability;
7. Good rust resistance;
8. Good cold and hot workability.
China's bearing steel can be roughly divided into four categories, and their brands are listed as follows:
1, high carbon chromium bearing steel, brand: GCr6; GCr9; GCr95SiMn;
2, carburize chromium bearing steel with that trade mark of G20CrMo; G20CrNiMo; G20CrNi2Mo;
