Bearing quenching technology

There is a tolerance fit requirement at the place where the bearing is installed. If the finish at this place is too poor, the dimensional accuracy requirement cannot be met. The material without quenching is relatively soft, and it is difficult to get a high finish on the surface of the shaft when machining.

The main purpose of local quenching of bearing position is to harden the shaft surface, so as to easily machine the shaft surface to a higher finish and ensure the smooth assembly of bearings.

The local quenching can make the overcooled austenite in the part undergo martensite or bainite transformation to obtain a martensite or bainite structure, and then the tempering can greatly improve the rigidity, hardness, wear resistance, fatigue strength, toughness and the like of the part. In this way, not only the above requirements for surface hardening are met, but also the local strength is improved.
